Rescue Sail

Getting a person who has fallen overboard back on board is extremely difficult, if not impossible, especially if that person is debilitated. | That's why we now have the mountain sail.| One edge is attached to the ship's side / foot rail, the opposite corner is shackled to the main halyard. The person who has fallen overboard must "swim" or be pulled into the mountain sail, then use the halyard winch to pull the person up to deck level. Then release the lower railing pull, if necessary cut it and roll the person on deck. The mountain sail is an important piece of safety equipment and belongs on every yacht!
