Monitoring and measuring devices work mainly on an electronic basis. As a result, the general installation and operating instructions refer to the mechanical and electrical operating data of the individual devices or device groups.
General
Prior to installation, check whether the flow control switch is suitable on the material side for the measuring medium!
The flow control switches of the VH 0 ... series are special devices with built-in micro-switches 250V, 5A, AC (max.). The version is available with external or internal thread. The device gives a signal when it falls below the set switching point. The terminal assignment in the connector is shown on the nameplate. The electrical cable can be connected to the screw terminals without soldering.
Types
VH 0 ... I = brass / stainless steel version with female thread G3/8 to G2
VH 0 ... V = brass / stainless steel version with soldered connection
VH 0 ... A = brass / stainless steel version with male thread G1/2
Installation
The flow switch is sealingly installed in the pipeline with Teflon tape. When installing, pay attention to the correct flow direction, indicated by the flow arrow on the switch head. The pipeline must first be cleaned of gross contamination. The calming section before and after the device must be at least 5XD. If the switching point has not been set, the device must be set to the desired switch-off point by moving the microswitch. ATTENTION! When installing the device, it must be ensured that the paddle system is neither damaged nor twisted.
